I was at a church service last night and the speaker made me look at the recession in a whole new light. He said that in spite of the recession, most people's lives have not changed all that much. Many of us are still enjoying life's little perks such as getting our mani/pedi's, and as we sistas all agree, we are getting our hair done no matter what. He said that to simply say, we are blessed. Yes, the economic times are scary and we have not seen the worst of it, but we are still blessed. As for my household we have analyzed our budget and cut out some things, but still in good shape with the help of the Lord. I will not allow myself to be paralyzed by fear, but remember to put my trust in God. Mind you, I will also use wisdom and be careful with my finances, but I will not worry to point that I have lost sight of the promises of God. Come to think of it, that is part of the challenge to myself to be optimistic this year. Remember, God never fails and no matter how bleak things may look keep your eyes on Him and He will come through for you.
