What social networking sites do you frequent, if any? My nephew is Myspace crazy! So much so that he told me I had to get with it and get a page. When I expressed no interest, he created one for me. I rarely visit it, but you can request to be my friend if you choose. In my opinion Myspace is a teen and tween site. The next big thing was Facebook, which is still going strong especially among adults. Again, I was not really interested but a good friend of mine is hooked on the site and encouraged me to join. I have since joined and to my delight I have been able to reconnect with several of my old high school pals. So for me, Facebook has been a more rewarding experience. Please feel free to look me up and you will get a much faster response as I do check that page more frequently. The site now with all the hype is Twitter. If you like to interact with celebs, then Twitter is the site for you. You will find people from all walks of life, including famous folks.
Whatever social networking site you choose to participate in, be careful. Whatever you put on those sites whether images or opinions are there for the world to see and for the webmasters to use as they choose. I have heard that it is becoming a practice of some employers to Google job seekers which can lead to your social networking activities. Use the sites to make business contacts and network with people in your fields of interests or who share other common interests. Be careful and remember that you are responsible for whatever information you put out on the web regarding your personal business.
